Sproots - January 2023

Contribution: Gameplay programming, level design, asset implementation.

Team: With Matthew Velez

 

My first Global Game Jam in person. I teamed up with an artist and producer, and taught him FMOD as we went. It was my first time successfully making a game with an game jam newbie. It required a lot of communication skills, as I had to make sure it was understood why and how the scope should stay small, and what tasks should be prioritized to make a minimum viable product in time.

Hands of Time - January 2020

Contribution: Music, programming, game design, level design.

Team: With Jeremy Vansnick and Dabelnedy Nhe

 

My first game jam, and my first time using Wwise and experimenting with dynamic music. I was working with another programmer, who initiated me through it. From him, I learned how to plan, how to collaborate with a team and where to cut corners. It was also the first time I really got to see the power of Unity third-party tools like DoTween and ProBuilder, which led me down a rabbit hole.

Migni - August 2020

Team: Solo

My first time trying out FMOD. A rough attempt at sound design resting on a questionably designed game, but I am proud of the adaptive soundtrack that is present throughout the experience.
